Report on User Awareness Programme

The Library and Information Center conducted a User Awareness Programme on 14 February 2026 at the Library Video Conference Room, Amar Jawan Block, for faculty members. The session aimed to enhance awareness and effective utilisation of the institution’s subscribed electronic resources for teaching and research excellence.
Dr. Anitha S Rai, Director of Library and Alumni Relations, inaugurated the programme and highlighted the importance of leveraging digital resources for academic growth. The core session by Ms. Namrata Pai provided a detailed walkthrough of subscribed e-journals, e-books, remote access systems, and specialised learning platforms. Faculty were introduced to major publishers and databases such as Elsevier, Springer Nature, Taylor & Francis, Emerald, EBSCO, IEEE, and others.
The interactive session clarified access procedures, authentication methods, and effective usage strategies. Through demonstrations and a Q&A segment, faculty gained confidence in independently navigating premium databases. Overall, the programme significantly improved awareness and efficient use of digital academic resources within the institution.
