Report on Library Orientation Programme for Newly Joined Faculty Members
The Library and Information Center conducted a Library Orientation Programme for newly joined faculty members on 1st September 2026 (1:45–2:30 PM) at the Video Conference Room, Amar Jawan Block. 27 new faculty members attended.
The session was led by Dr. Anitha S Rai, Director – Library and Alumni Relations, who covered key areas including library collections and facilities, rules and policies, e-resources and institutional repository access, research databases, LMS integration, citation management tools, and plagiarism checking. She encouraged faculty to make greater use of the library for their academic, teaching, and research activities.
The programme was well received and considered informative in helping new faculty understand the library’s role in supporting academic excellence. It concluded with appreciation for Dr. Rai’s guidance and a reminder to faculty to actively use library services through the year.
