On 29th April 2026, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, the New Horizon College of Engineering Club, in collaboration with the National Digital Library of India (NDLI), successfully organized an insightful online session titled “NDLI Digital Discovery Session: A Guided Exploration Session to Help Users Discover Useful NDLI Content”.

The session witnessed the active participation of 102 attendees, who were highly engaged throughout the program. The objective of the session was to familiarize participants with the features, tools, and effective usage of the NDLI platform for academic and research purposes.

The session emphasized the importance of information literacy, encouraged the effective use of digital resources, and highlighted strategies for enhancing academic performance through reliable e-content. Participants gained valuable insights into navigating NDLI’s vast repository and utilizing it for classroom learning, self-study, research activities, and competitive exam preparation.

The National Digital Library of India serves as a comprehensive digital repository, offering free access to a wide range of academic resources, including e-books, journals, theses, lecture videos, and other scholarly materials across multiple disciplines. Its user-friendly interface and extensive content make it a vital tool for students, researchers, and educators.

By ensuring easy, equitable, and anytime access to high-quality educational content, NDLI plays a crucial role in fostering independent learning, strengthening research capabilities, and promoting overall academic excellence.

Overall, the session was informative, interactive, and impactful, significantly enhancing participants’ awareness and understanding of digital scholarly resources and their effective utilization for academic growth.

On 20th May 2026, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, New Horizon College of Engineering Club, in collaboration with the National Digital Library of India (NDLI), successfully hosted an insightful online talk session titled “NDLI Book Interaction.” The session was attended by 120 participants, who actively engaged and participated throughout the program.

The NDLI Book Interaction Program was successfully organized to encourage reading habits, promote intellectual discussions, and create awareness about the vast academic resources available through the National Digital Library of India (NDLI).

The event aimed to provide students with an opportunity to interact with books beyond the traditional classroom environment and to explore the importance of digital learning resources in academic and personal development. It promoted how to access, read, and engage with the millions of books, audio books, and e-texts available on the platform. It refers to the ways a user can engage with a digital book hosted on the platform. This goes beyond simply viewing or reading—it involves features that enhance learning and usability.

During the interaction session, participants shared their thoughts, reviews, and interpretations of selected books available through NDLI. Students enthusiastically discussed various themes, characters, moral values, and learning outcomes from the books they had explored. The activity encouraged analytical thinking, communication skills, and collaborative learning among participants. Faculty members and coordinators guided the discussions and motivated students to develop regular reading habits and effectively utilize digital library resources for academic enrichment.
