NDLI Go Fish on AI in Libraries

New Horizon College of Engineering and NDLI Club, in association with National Digital Library of India conducted NDLI Go Fish on AI in Libraries on 21.04.2025. The event was attended by 101 Participants from New Horizon College of Engineering.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing library services and enhancing user experience, creating a new era of efficiency, accessibility, and innovation. AI reshapes the library landscape, ushering in a new generation of efficiency, accessibility, and innovation. The AI’s most notable contribution to libraries is the automation of routine tasks, cataloguing, and organizing; librarians can now rely on AI Algorithms to streamline.
The competition underscored the pivotal role of technology in fostering environmental consciousness and sustainability. Participants explored innovative solutions such as renewable energy advancements, smart waste management systems, AI-driven environmental monitoring, and sustainable urban planning.
By fostering critical thinking and innovation, the event successfully encouraged students to analyze, articulate, and advocate for technological interventions in environmental conservation, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and sustainable development.
NDLI Book Hunt

New Horizon College of Engineering and NDLI Club in association with National Digital Library of India conducted NDLI Book Hunt on 28.05.2025. The event was attended by 64 participants from New Horizon College of Engineering. A book hunt is an interactive and engaging activity designed to promote reading and to encourage the exploration of library resources. It involves participants searching for hidden books or solving clues that would lead them to specific titles or locations within a library or designated area. Often organized by libraries, schools, or literary clubs, book hunts can be themed around genres, authors, or historical events to make the experience more educational and enjoyable. This activity not only fosters a love for reading but also helps participants become more familiar with the library layout and how books are organized.
Book hunts encourage teamwork, critical thinking, and curiosity, making them suitable for all age groups. They can be conducted physically through printed clues or digitally using QR codes, and online platforms. Prizes or certificates are often awarded to participants, adding an element of excitement and motivation. Overall, book hunts serve as a fun and innovative way to connect people with books and libraries.
