Library Orientation Programme for First-Year Students 2026
The Library and Information Center held a Library Orientation Programme for about 600 first-year students on 7th October 2026 at the Main Auditorium. It ran in two sessions, one for the Physics Cycle and one for the Chemistry Cycle. Dr. Anitha S. Rai, Director – Library and Alumni Relations, led the sessions. She introduced students to the library’s resources, services, rules and facilities, and encouraged them to use the library throughout their studies. The programme aimed to build information literacy, independent learning and research awareness from the start of their academic journey.
