A Report on Expert Talk - Turnitin “iThenticate” Plagiarism Software
The Department of Library and Information Center, in association with the Department of Research and Development, New Horizon College of Engineering, organised an Expert Talk on Turnitin “iThenticate” Plagiarism Software on 17th February 2026.
The session was led by Mr. Akshay Prasanna, Customer Success Manager at Turnitin (Asia-Pacific Region), who explained similarity reports, AI writing indicators, acceptable similarity thresholds, and best practices for maintaining academic integrity in research publications.
The programme was interactive, with faculty actively participating in the Q&A session. Overall, the talk enhanced awareness of plagiarism detection tools and responsible scholarly writing practices.
