Library and Student Clubs Orientation Programme for MCA

The Department of Library and Information Center, in collaboration with the Research and Development Cell of New Horizon College of Engineering, successfully organized an Online Training Session on “Turnitin: How to View and Interpret Similarity Report” on 27th October 2025.
This session was a part of the ongoing initiative to strengthen academic integrity and to familiarize faculty members and researchers with the effective use of Turnitin, a leading plagiarism detection and research integrity tool.
Session Highlights
Ms. Ashita Khandelwal, Customer Onboarding Consultant, South Asia, conducted the session. She began by introducing the purpose of the training and highlighting the importance of maintaining academic integrity in research and writing. She emphasized that with the growing reliance on digital resources and online content, it has become crucial for educational institutions to equip faculty and students with tools to ensure originality in their academic work.
Ms. Khandelwal explained how Turnitin has become an indispensable tool for detecting plagiarism and upholding the highest standards of scholarly work. She provided a detailed overview of the session structure and its objectives, focusing primarily on familiarizing participants with the Turnitin interface and guiding them on how to interpret the Similarity Report effectively.
