Report on Library Orientation Programme for Newly Joined Faculty Members
The Library Orientation Programme for newly joined faculty members was conducted on 13th September 2025, from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the VLSI Lab, Chhatrapati Shivaji Block. A total of 42 new faculty members attended the session.
The session was led by Dr. Anitha S Rai, Director – Library and Alumni Relations, who provided a comprehensive overview of the library’s resources and services. Key areas covered during the orientation included:
- Overview of Library Collections and Facilities
- Library Rules and Policies
- Access to Digital Resources and Institutional Repository
- Research Tools and Databases for Academic Support
- Integration of Library Resources with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Citation Management Tools
- Personalized Research Assistance
The faculty members actively participated in the interactive session and raised several pertinent queries, particularly related to:
- Off-campus access to digital resources
- Integration of library resources into LMS platforms
- Personalized research support and citation tools
Dr. Anitha S Rai addressed all the questions in detail and encouraged the faculty to actively engage with the library to support their teaching, learning, and research endeavors.
