VTU Consortium Training Program on IEEE and EBSCO E-resources
On March 8, 2025, the Department of Library & Information Center at New Horizon College of Engineering organized a VTU Consortium Training Program to raise awareness about IEEE and EBSCO e-resources. The program aimed to familiarize participants with essential digital tools for academic research and professional development. Its objectives included introducing the IEEE and EBSCO databases, enhancing research capabilities, promoting efficient information retrieval, and creating awareness about consortium-based access.
The event featured sessions on EBSCOhost and the IEEE Xplore Digital Library, which covered their features, usage, and accessibility. Practical demonstrations and hands-on training helped participants navigate and utilize these platforms effectively. Interactive Q&A sessions provided further insights, and engaging activities like quizzes added excitement.
The program successfully equipped 137 participants with essential tools for academic research, emphasizing the importance of accessing high-quality digital resources through consortium partnerships.
