Online Essay Writing on Technology Enhanced Environmental Awareness

New Horizon College of Engineering and the NDLI Club, in collaboration with the National Digital Library of India (NDLI), successfully organized the NDLI Online Essay Writing Competition on “Technology-Enhanced Environmental Awareness” on March 27, 2025. The event witnessed active participation from students of New Horizon College of Engineering, reflecting a strong enthusiasm for environmental sustainability and technological advancements.
The competition underscored the pivotal role of technology in fostering environmental consciousness and sustainability. Participants explored innovative solutions such as renewable energy advancements, smart waste management systems, AI-driven environmental monitoring, and sustainable urban planning.
By fostering critical thinking and innovation, the event successfully encouraged students to analyze, articulate, and advocate for technological interventions in environmental conservation, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and sustainable development.
NDLI Online Maker Space on 3D Printers

New Horizon College of Engineering, along with the NDLI Club and the National Digital Library of India, hosted an NDLI Online Maker Space event on 3D printers on 19th February 2025. The event saw participation from 122 attendees from New Horizon College of Engineering.
3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing, involves creating a three-dimensional object from a CAD model or a digital 3D model. This process can be carried out using various techniques where materials are deposited, joined, or solidified under computer control. Typically, materials such as plastics, liquids, or powder grains are fused together layer by layer to construct the final object.
NDLI Online Essay Writing on One Nation One Subscription

New Horizon College of Engineering and NDLI Club in association with National Digital Library of India conducted NDLI Online Essay Writing on One Nation One Subscription on 20.01.2025. The event was attended by 111 Participants from New Horizon College of Engineering. The One Nation One Subscription (ONOS) initiative of the Office of PSA was approved by the Union Cabinet as a Central Sector Scheme on 25th November 2024. ONOS is aimed at providing access to scholarly research e-journals from prominent publishers covering the disciplines of STEM, medical, management, social sciences and humanities, to all individuals in the country.
NDLI GO FISH ON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

New Horizon College of Engineering and NDLI Club, in association with the National Digital Library of India, conducted NDLI GO FISH ON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE on 20.12.2024. The event was attended by 113 Participants from New Horizon College of Engineering. AI is a technology set that allows machines to learn, reason, and act in ways that typically require human intelligence. AI systems learn by analyzing large amounts of data to identify patterns and relationships humans might miss.
NDLI FILM SCREENING

New Horizon College of Engineering and NDLI Club in association with National Digital Library of India conducted NDLI FILM SCREENING on 20.11.2024. The event was attended by 122 Participants from New Horizon College of Engineering. A film screening is a special showing of a movie or television program, usually as part of a film’s production or release cycle. Film screenings can take place in a cinema or be broadcast on television.
NDLI MAKERSPACE

New Horizon College of Engineering and NDLI Club in association with National Digital Library of India conducted NDLI MAKERSPACE. on 18.10.2024. The event was attended by 106 Participants from New Horizon College of Engineering. A makerspace is a collaborative work space inside a school, library or separate public/private facility for making, learning, exploring and sharing that uses high tech to no tech tools. These spaces are open to kids, adults. These spaces are also helping to prepare those who need the critical 21st century skills in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).
NDLI Online Role Play

New Horizon College of Engineering and NDLI Club in association with National Digital Library of India conducted NDLI Online Role Play on 20.09.2024. The event was attended by 104 Participants from New Horizon College of Engineering. Role-play is a special kind of case study, in which there is an explicit situation established with students playing specific roles, spontaneously saying and doing what they understand their “character” would, in that situation. Role-plays differ from other case studies in the immediacy of the experience. Students find themselves in the role-play.
NDLI ONLINE LECTURE SERIES ON TRANSFORMING EDUCATION TOWARDS AI

New Horizon College of Engineering and NDLI Club in association with National Digital Library of India conducted NDLI Online Lecture Series on Transforming Education towards AI on 22.08.2024. The event was attended by 106 Participants from New Horizon College of Engineering. AI is being used in educational management to enhance the learning process, improve student outcomes, and streamline administrative tasks. This research work aims to explore the application of AI in educational management, including its benefits and challenges.
NDLI ESSAY WRITING ON DIGITAL LEARNING AND TECHNOLOGY

New Horizon College of Engineering and NDLI Club in association with National Digital Library of India conducted NDLI Essay Writing on Digital Learning and Technology on 26.07.2024. The event was attended by 124 Participants from New Horizon College of Engineering. Technology can be a powerful tool for transforming learning and improving achievement for students who have been historically underserved. Yet many inequities persist in students’ access to and use of technology for learning. Integrating technology into instruction can ensure high-quality digital learning opportunities for all students.
NDLI DEBATE ON THE FUTURE OF WORK IN THE AGE OF AUTOMATION

New Horizon College of Engineering and NDLI Club in association with National Digital Library of India conducted NDLI Draw on Artificial Intelligence on 24.06.2024. The event was attended by 131 Participants from New Horizon College of Engineering. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is an evolving technology that tries to simulate human intelligence machines. AI encompasses various subfields, including machine learning (ML) and deep learning, which allow systems to learn and adapt in novel ways from training data.
NDLI DEBATE ON THE FUTURE OF WORK IN THE AGE OF AUTOMATION

New Horizon College of Engineering and NDLI Club in association with National Digital Library of India conducted NDLI Debate on the Future of work in the Age of Automation on 22.04.2024. The event was attended by 123 Participants from New Horizon College of Engineering. The future of work in the age of automation is likely to involve a new relationship between humans and technology, with automation replacing repetitive tasks and humans focusing on tasks that require creativity, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence.
